The Condamine Alliance Science portfolio collects, shares and interprets science knowledge and data to inform decision making by the organisation and its partners. Support is provided through:

• Sharing information on new research findings and current events
• Leading the Knowledge Management special purpose team
• Supplying a GIS mapping and analysis service
• Preparing funding applications
• Coordinating monitoring, evaluation, reporting and program improvement
• Management of targeted science and research projects

Key achievements for 2010/11

• Finalised draft Environmental Values for the Condamine catchment
• Provided public comment on five key documents to support NRM considerations including the Surat Basin regional planning framework and the Draft State Planning Policy for Protecting Queensland’s strategic cropping land
• Circulated 312 articles to maintain staff awareness of new research and current affairs
• Generated approximately 200 unique maps for both the organisation and external stakeholders to support decision making, planning and reporting
