MDF Bursary - Catchment Report Cards Review
Catchment report cards review
The Murray Darling Foundation’s travel bursary for 2011 was awarded to Lucy Richardson of the Condamine Alliance to enable the determination of the key aspects and learnings from other Australian efforts at provision of catchment report cards that might be suitable to integrate into the proposed Condamine Alliance approach. No inland catchments’regional bodies have yet to develop a report card of their own as is done by several coastal areas (including the Gippsland area and South East Queensland) and by some State governments (including New South Wales and Victoria).
By learning how these other organisations started their currently successful processes and the successes and issues they encountered along the way, it is hoped that the proposed approach to the Condamine catchment condition and action scorecard card can be improved and significant issues avoided.
