Our partners
Our business plan relies on partnerships. We believe we’re all in this together, and we need to collaborate to bring about real change.
Strong relationships have allowed us to consult widely and productively about our investment priorities for the catchment. We are now working together with our many partners to meet the goals and targets set out in the Natural Resource Management (NRM) plan for the Condamine catchment - a plan we all signed up to - using a strategic and collaborative approach.
Our delivery model involves partnering with leaders in the field to deliver the best on ground outcomes for the catchment. These partners must meet our high expectations – and they do - working with us to achieve the best possible results for our community and our environment.
Our partners include Councils, community groups and volunteers, Traditional Owners, landholders, Research and Development Corporations, State Agencies, industry groups, Universities and private entities – and many more individual project partners. See our current partners here
Local Government
Local Government in the Condamine catchment is represented by three councils:
- Toowoomba Regional Council
- Southern Downs Regional Council
- Western Downs Regional Council
Councils have their own NRM objectives and responsibilities, and work with Condamine Alliance to achieve these.
Volunteer and Community Sector
We all have a part to play in keeping our catchment healthy so it’s particularly important to have committed people working at a local level where so much of the hard work is done. We collaborate with many community groups and volunteers to support their activities where possible.
Research and Development Corporations
We have partnerships with CSIRO, Cotton, Grains Research Development Corporation and private entities to deliver viable, scientifically-sound solutions to sustainability issues within the catchment. We recognise the importance of connecting existing research with the on ground applications by landholders to help them make better decision for the future.
State Agencies
State Agencies support inkind and formal project partnerships that benefit our operations and work towards successful outcomes for the Condamine catchment NRM Plan.
Industry Partnerships
Peak industry bodies for cotton, grains, pigs, eggs, horticulture, dairy and poultry are all active participants in NRM delivery and investment decisions in the Condamine catchment and beyond. Additional work is being done through private consultants into the grazing, grain and intensive industries.
Universities
We have formal partnerships in place with USQ, QUT and UQ. Our partnerships with universities ensure we have access to leading edge research and technology to guide us in our decision making in managing our precious natural resources.
Corporate Partners
We are also exploring commercial opportunities for partnerships through the Condamine Alliance Corporate Investment Program. As an internationally accredited not for profit organisation Condamine Alliance presents a strong opportunity for corporate investors.
