Franke Scrub Open Day

The Friends of Franke Scrub are having an Open Day on Sunday (25 March) to celebrate the installation of their new sign trail.
The signage was funded, in part, using grant money which some of their members earned through their attendance at Condamine Alliance's Weed Spotters program
A Plant Stall, selling plants for $2.50 and $4.00, will feature plants native to Highfields and Toowoomba. It will be opportunity for environmentally-minded locals to replace some of those plants which have been cleared, over the last century and a half, from the land which has since become their gardens.
The Open day will also offer a “walk and talk” around the trail with members of the Friends, who can answer your questions about this special and rare remnant of Highfields’ original vegetation.
