The Regional Groups Collective represents the state-wide interests of the fourteen Regional Natural Resource Management Bodies in Queensland.
There has been a flexible approach to regionalised community-based natural resource management in Queensland, in response to the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality and the second stage of the Natural Heritage Trust.
Reflecting the diversity of the state, the Regional Bodies in Queensland differ in terms of corporate structure, stakeholder interests, and their stage of planning and implementation of natural resource management activities.
Despite these differences, there are many issues that are best addressed in a coordinated manner. The Collective provides a strategic approach and efficiencies in addressing challenges that cross regional boundaries.
Our new RGC website
If you're seeing this message, you're one of the lucky first visitors to our new online home.
We hope you take time to look around and try out some of the features (why not clcik on the Explore the Regions map, top right?) and fantastic content (check out the Project Showcase, left menu).
BUT BE WARNED! The paint is still dyring and there are some empty rooms on the site.
Have a look, tell your colleagues, and don't be a stranger.
