REGIONAL Investment Strategies provide details on the specific actions, costs and timeframes that are required to implement a regional natural resource management plan and achieve the targets set within it.
The Alliance's Regional Investment Strategy assists in attracting and delivering investment in natural resource management from all levels of government, the private sector, industry and community by acting as a prospectus for investment.
It details specific actions, costs and timeframes that are required to implement targets set within the Condamine River Catchment Natural Resource Management Plan. The RIS is primarily funded by the Australian Government through its Caring for our Country (COFC) program and Queensland government, among other investors. Current COFC sub-programs: Funds for Working on Country Working on Country applications are now being sought for 2008-09. A total of up to $6 million will be available for on-ground work in 2008-09, and funding for up to five years can be sought. Applications will close 5pm EST Monday 11 August 2008. Interested applicants must contact the Working on Country team to obtain an Application Form.
