THE Condamine catchment is rich in natural resources, and contributes significantly to the Queensland and Australian economy through farming and mining activities. Investment is required to enable the catchment community to maintain a strong level of growth, whilst continuing to live and operate in the catchment in a sustainable manner.

The Alliance's Regional Investment Strategy provides details on specific actions, costs and timeframes that are required to implement the plan and achieve the targets within the Condamine River Catchment Natural Resource Management Plan.

The RIS is funded by the Australian Government through its Caring for our Country program and the Queensland Government through Catchment Programs, among other investors,

A range of other funding sources contribute to the Alliance's total investment in natural resource management within the catchment. Other possible sources of investment:
- Research bodies
- Corporate organisations
- Community contributions.
