Condamine Crusaders - Partners and supporters

Queensland Youth Environmental Council

The Queensland Youth Environment Council provided excellent assistance to many of the Condamine Crusader groups. The youth councillors visited schools and facilitated activities to get motivated, help develop their environment groups and plan their environment projects.

The QYEC program is supported by the Queensland Government and provides a youth perspective on key environmental sustainability issues. Council members also act as youth leaders to enhance awareness and inspire other youths to take action to achieve a more sustainable future for Queensland.

QYEC is currently calling on young environment enthusiasts to apply by 2 March 2012 to join the Council. To download the application form and find out more, head to the QYEC website at www.qyec.org.au.

Yarramine Environmental

Nigel Kimball from Yarramine Environmental worked with students at St Ursula's College to complete a full energy audit of the school. The upshot has been the development of an Energy Audit Guide - a manual for school energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction project leaders. This will help the College conduct their own energy audits and find ways to save energy on campus.
