Phil McCullough

Phil McCullough
Chief Executive Officer 

Phil is an experienced program manager, having worked in various community, government and private businesses. He has an extensive background in natural resource management landscape planning, from sugar cane to cereal production to horticulture. Phil joined the Alliance in January 2005 and since then he has negotiated the development and successful agreement of two stages of Australian and Queensland government investment of more than $11 million for NRM implementation.

Phil has a Bachelor of Arts (USQ) in Public Relations and Communications, Diploma of Business Administration, Associate Diploma of Rural Technologies (UQ, Gatton), Certificate IV in Training and Development, Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and is a qualified Justice of the Peace.

Penny Hamilton

Penny Hamilton
Regional Manager - Program Delivery

Penny joined Condamine Alliance in 2004 with extensive experience working across the broad spectrum of agricultural systems within South and West Queensland in the public and private sectors. Her career has spanned the technical aspects of agriculture including weed management, integrated project management, and examining the decision making processes within an agricultural system.

Penny has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (B.Agr Sc) and a Masters in Agricultural Science (M. Agr Sc) as well as postgraduate study in project management, adult learning and vocational education and training.

John Mundy

John Mundy 
Regional Manager - Corporate Operations

John started with the Alliance in January 2006.  His basic discipline is mechanical engineering, and he was for many years in senior management positions in several countries worldwide. In more recent years he has been involved in the Australian Government's Regional Development Funding Programs and has wide experience in facilitating government, business and community partnerships.

Michelle Everingham
Information Management Officer

Michelle joined Condamine Alliance in September 2005, as the organisation’s Contracts and Data Officer. She then moved across to the Program Delivery team in July 2007 and is currently working as the Information Management Officer for project geographic information systems (GIS), monitoring & evaluation, and project delivery.

Michelle is completing a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Sustainable Environments and minoring in GIS.

Natalie Forrester
Corporate and Contracts Administration

Natalie began her career with Condamine Alliance in November 2006. Prior to joining, she worked in retail management for four years whilst studying for a Bachelor of Law/Accounting. She brings exceptional customer service skills and experience in various areas of office administration to her commitment in running an efficient and friendly front office.

Natalie is currently completing a certificate 4 in Business Administration and has undertaken numerous short courses including Communication, Business Accounting and an Introduction to Project Management.

Francine Holt

Francine (Fran) Holt
River Rescue Leader

Fran commenced with the Alliance in May 2005 and is responsible for developing new business opportunities and coordinating the corporate investment strategy. She has extensive experience in agri-business specializing in business research, sales and marketing, human resource management and workplace training.

Fran holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Hons (UQ), a Post Graduate Certificate in Management (USQ) and qualifications in Workplace Training and Assessment (SQIT).

Lucy Larkin

Lucy Richardson
Science and Reporting Leader

Lucy is an environmental engineer with experience in the areas of environmental impact assessment and management planning, flooding and drainage modeling, agricultural land assessments and project management.  She assisted in the development of the Alliance’s Regional Investment Strategy and is the regional NRM monitoring co-ordinator.

Lucy joined Condamine Alliance in July 2004 and holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering), University of Southern Queensland and a Cert. IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.

Corie Leslie

Corie Leslie
Indigenous Partnerships Officer

As indigenous facilitator, Corie joined the Alliance in July 2004 and acts as the liaison point between traditional owners, Indigenous communities  and the Alliance . He also advises and assists in implementing the catchment NRM Plan's targets, particularly in relation to traditional owners and Indigenous communities in the catchment.

Andrew McCartney

Andrew McCartney
Agricultural Systems Leader

Andrew is an extension officer with the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries (QDPI&F) and has been working in partnership with the Alliance since November 2005. He has extensive experience in the research and development of engagement models for increasing adoption of sustainable management practices and also in the design and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.

Before joining QDPI&F in 2000, Andrew managed a beef cattle enterprise in Central Queensland for 17 years.

Andrew is currently undertaking a Masters in Rural Systems Management, University of Queensland.

Mark Schuster

Mark Schuster
Biodiversity Ecologist Officer

With extensive experience in three tiers of Government and over 18 years with Queensland Local Government, Mark brings a wealth of knowledge to his role at Condamine Alliance.

He holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and Paleontology, with first-class Honours in Zoology and Ethology, from the University of Queensland. Skilled as a field zoologist, senior research geographer (NATMAP) and Local Government GIS developer, Mark joined the Alliance in July 2005.

Pam Seymour
Financial Officer

Pam, born in bonny Scotland, moved to Australia with her Australian husband Steve in 1998. She has travelled extensively. With a Diploma in Agriculture, her Project work included a 10 year stint in Sub-Saharan Africa and has taken her to countries as diverse as Israel and the Congo.

Since 2000 Pam has worked as financial officer and internal auditor for several Environmental, Agricultural and Government Organisations. Pam commenced with the Alliance in 2006.

Jayne Thorpe

Jayne Thorpe
Biodiversity and Ecosystems Leader

Jayne has served in executive roles for local Landcare since 2000 and has been a partner in an Environmental Consultancy since 2004. Her role with Condamine Alliance includes coordination of two Indigenous NRM projects.

Jayne joined the Alliance in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Science (Biology) and a Graduate Diploma of Science both from the University of Southern Queensland.

Melanie Wrigth

Melanie Wright
Board and Executive Administration

Melanie is an administration officer with six years experience in both Australia and the United Kingdom. In 2001, she completed a Certificate III in Business Administration, whilst working for the Environmental Protection Agency in Toowoomba. In addition, she has also worked for the Improvement and Development Agency in London.

Melanie is currently studying for a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Human Resource Management through the University of Southern Queensland.

Kevin Graham 
River Rescue Project Leader 

Prior to joining the alliance in August 2007, Kevin enjoyed 39 years working with one of Australia’s leading commercial agribusiness servicing primary producers and land-managers.  In his current role as Special Projects officer he is involved in Native Fish Strategy and Recreational Fishing Community Grants projects.

Kevin has completed numerous development programs including: an Advanced Management Program from Mt Eliza College and a Certificate IV in Agriculture from Murrumbidgee College of Agriculture.

Katie Ferguson 
Media and Marketing Leader 

Prior to joining the alliance in October 2008 Katie worked for the Ideas Festival and Arts Queensland in marketing and communications. She has a strong background in tourism having worked in a number of positions in Local Government; including tourism promotions, development and management; in both Warwick and Gunnedah.

Katie has a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Communications and Public Relations from the Queensland University of Technology.
